About Us
Eneus Energy was established in 2013, by Founder and CEO, Chris Bronsdon.
As the Energy sector realised the need to reduce carbon emissions and transition towards hydrogen power, Chris identified the opportunity that ammonia represented as a means of storing and transporting hydrogen using infrastructure that was already in existence and in common usage throughout the world. Engaging with electrolyser OEMs and ammonia process licensors, Chris developed the initial techno-economic model for the business and explored early relationships and routes that would lead to unlocking green ammonia as an Energy Transition fuel.
During 2020 the business model for Eneus was expanded from the UK into the US as a green hydrogen and green ammonia project development company.
In August 2022, as the project portfolio matured, the Company attracted investment from two large global investment groups: The Carlyle Group and GIC (a Singapore sovereign wealth fund). Both Carlyle and GIC have large energy sector investments and are aggressively pursuing hydrogen strategies, in part through their participation in Eneus Energy’s business.
Carlyle and GIC are highly active investors that have appointed strong teams to support the development of the business at pace, building towards execution of Eneus’ multi-billion dollar project pipeline.
Eneus currently has a portfolio of projects under development in both the UK and US.
